What Are Character Strengths?
Character strengths are positive traits that people naturally express in their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. They are the psychological “ingredients” of human goodness, such as curiosity, kindness, perseverance, hope, and self‑regulation. Everyone has all 24 of these strengths in varying degrees; some are more dominant (often called signature strengths) and feel especially core to who you are.
